- 1 / 5By Mark StubbsWe ordered and picked up an 8 inch round cake yesterday for a birthday party. I thought it seemed heavy when I lifted the box, but knew was a tall cake, so I didn't really think a lot about it, until we cut it. It was terrible. Too thick, heavy and very little taste. It was like cornbread with bakery icing. Even the younger kids wouldn't eat it. We didn't even have time to go to the grocery store to replace it. It was $35.00, and I had to throw it away.
I suggest maybe make more than two layers for a softer texture. It was not at all what I wanted, I am sorry to say. Big disappointment.December 12, 2016
